The Department of Agriculture was started in the year 2019-20 under Garg Degree College. The Department established with the four years Bachelor programme in Agriculture. This Bachelor degree programme of four years in Agriculture is a composite course focusing on the various aspects of providing knowledge of Agriculture with regards to Rural Development and how it is sustainable in generating income sources through increasing the approach of learners to think beyond the limitations. We are all aware that farmers are considered to be "logical-wisdom based scientists" by ancient agricultural heritage. Modern youth can be instrumental in reviving farming and rural livelihood systems that depend on farms. The development of knowledgeable and skilled human resources is of utmost significance in this direction.
Hence, our Agriculture faculty aims to address education and research through best and innovative teaching skills in a holistic manner in order to benefit students, including extracurricular activities to enhance their capacity, as a whole. The Department of Agriculture aphorism is “The greener the nature, the greener the knowledge”.The academic disciplines in the college are Artistic, Creative and Indian cultured based.
The focus of the Department is to have holistic education regarding to the development of Agriculture to empower the future of learners.
